#276 It's truly one of the best walks we have done. What is this place?? We go on a massive descent down the hills of Sao Jorge, hiking on to a little surf village. The Azores have been dotted by these beautiful settlements by the sea but this one might just take the cake. Possibly because it took such a big effort to get there. The people living there are seriously remote, what a place to live.
The Azores though, seriously, nicest people you'll meet in the world. We've been helped out of a jam more than a couple times, thanks once again to the kind folk of the middle Atlantic. And thank you guys for tuning in with us today!

I think that there's ALWAYS going to be people to criticize, no matter what you do. In my humble, yet vastly experienced opinion...... as that little boy grows up, and meets people his own age, those other kids are going to be wowed by how bright and well rounded Lenny is, because of all the adventure he's had. He may end up being the one that makes great discoveries, because of his imagination.

Beautiful family, Lenny is a very lucky boy, living involves some risk! As a mum of 3 , I’ve seen my kids climb really high in trees, ride horses, motor bikes, cliff dive etc etc and I’m just so happy they are having those opportunities. ❤️

Here in Arizona you can still drive a truck on the freeway with your kids riding in the bed of the truck going 70 MPH. And no helmet...you guys are the best parents.

Come to Costa Rica you will see entire families of 4 or 5 on quads with no helmets just groceries and or fishing poles/surfboards heading to the beach. .... Pura Vida!

I grew up in the country and babies much younger grew up going on quad rides while their grandpas hold onto them with one hand. By the time they are your son’s age they help drive and go check on the farm animals. Country kids will get it.

Ignore the negative comments. I hiked a mountain in Switzerland in flip flops with my fiancé. I had a cancer op the week before. I had hiked the same mountain as a 5 year old with my parents - 8.5 hour round trip. Did me the world of good and happiest memories.

Sometimes I forget how different people live. I've grown up in Missouri but have traveled all over. We used to ride dirt bikes with no helmets, in the bed of the truck to get around, etc. People hear about my childhood and say "you did what?!". I believe its quite comical.

When I was a child they didn't even have seat belts in cars we rode in the back of pick up trucks and I hardly ever wore a helmet on my dirt bike unless I was racing and neither did anyone else in my generation so just do what your gonna do it's your child rase him best as you can and don't stress about it

I was gonna hop on to give you shit about hiking in remote places in flip flops, but I see everyone beat me to it. I lived in colorado where newbies would set out to climb a fourteener with no water, in flip flops. Not a week went by without having to haul broken/sprained ankles off the mountain, often by helicopter. Beautiful location tho. Sorry about the bilge, bad timing.

My God, I hate that you would even need to explain any of this to the snow flakes on youtube. We lived on horseback with no damn helmets, all our lives in our culture. A quad is a "walk in the park" (safe) compared to EVEN walking. It's not like you're going 55 miles down an open highway on a motorcycle. GOOD GRIEF! Screw these morons.

Screw the judgemental people! We never wore helmets, didn't have to wear seat belts until the late 80's, rode in the back of trucks...in California! We all survived without the government or other idiots worrying about what we did. Your kid is living an amazing life...keep it up!

everything is visually stimulating for you if all your accustomed too is shades of blue, Lenny saw a new colors - Green... and variety that he is not used to seeing. until he returns to the sea and the desolation that brings. Its wonderful the stars you have all become, and learning how your reach has gone so far. (Riley being asked if he sails- OMG- that must be a wonderful feeling that your media has impact and is recognizable- you guys are doing a wonderful job.)
